One Foot in Front of the Other

Hey friends!

Sorry it’s been a hundred million years! Would you believe me if I told you I’ve had a crazy couple months? Because I have.

The running deets: I’ve been giving myself some time to not adhere so strictly to a training plan. I’m undergoing some, erm, major life changes, and decided running needed to be a thing that helped me decompress–not a thing I stressed about. What’s that mean, exactly? No speed workouts. No set paces. Hell, no Garmin sometimes. I let the Coach go for now. He’s a genius and I’ll be working with him again, but for now, it’s for the best. I highly doubt I’ll qualify for Boston in Chicago this year. And to be perfectly honest, I don’t know for certain that I’ll be there.

But before everything went nuts, I nailed a Yasso 800 workout at 3:30 pace. So don’t worry, I’ve still got it ; )

Thanks for still checking in…I see you’ve all stopped by occasionally to see a lack of updates. My apologies for that  : ) Know that I’m good, I’m still running, and I’ll fill you in more someday soon! For now, pictures!

Jer and I at a terribly steamy half marathon of doom : )

hey look it's me! I'm alive!

Jeri and I!

On a boat with Megan!

the girls from high school!

8k in Battle Lake!

at Wild Water West with Jeri!

So I’m here. Still hanging on. Still making things happen. Still putting one foot in front of the other. Thanks for your support : )

Happy running.

I am praying for you both! I agree that running should help you escape and not cause more undue stress but I still hope to meet you in Chicago:)

Looks like you’ve been having a lot of fun! I can’t blame you for not blogging. When life gets busy, blogging is not a necessity even though it is fun. Good luck in Chicago! I’ll be running Portland Marathon that same day.
